2001 Pontiac Sunfire
Pontiac Sunfire is the American counterpart for Japanese compact and subcompact
vehicle. It competes with Toyota and Honda in sedan's and coupe's size and performance.
And it is far sportier than its predecessor, the Pontiac Sunbird, and its cousin,
the Chevy Cavalier. Pontiac revised the styling of the 2000 Sunfire, so changes
to the 2001 model are minimal. No changes are made under the hood.
New standard equipment for 2001 Sunfire included an in-trunk emergency release,
cassette player, and a rear spoiler on coupes. A 200-watt Monsoon premium audio
system is optional. Using six speakers, the system is tuned specifically for the
Sunfire's acoustical environment and is capable of completely drenching its occupants
with sound. Crisp bass response and clear high frequencies make for great sound.
The 2001 Sunfire becomes more appealing to young and active car lovers; sporty
looks, excellent maneuverability and superb sound system, in a very affordable
package.
