Pontiac Sunfire Convertible
In mid-1995, two more Pontiac Sunfire body styles are introduced: the two-door
coupe (GT) and the two-door convertible. Though the SE sedan provides more practicality
with a roomier backseat and a larger trunk, the coupes and the convertible offer
the most excitement. The Sunfire Convertible resembles a miniature Firebird with
its fluid curves, sharp, tapered nose, muscular body side bulges and stocky tail
treatment.

The internal fog lamp on the convertible gives the vehicle a sportier appearance.
And to add some surface excitements for a more aggressive look, Pontiac added
side ribs and new rocker panel moldings. A rear deck lid spoiler is standard on
all Sunfire coupes. Under the hood, Pontiac provides a choice of two power plants
and three transmissions. Standard in the Sunfire convertible is a 2.2-liter overhead-valve
four-cylinder engine that generates 120 horsepower and 130 pound-feet of torque.
A Sunfire with the 2.2-liter engine and standard five-speed transmission gets
an EPA-rated 23 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Pontiac's Sunfire delivers
design excitement and lots of fun per dollar to youthful drivers especially when
it is ordered as a convertible.
